Little Rascals Playgroup offers a Play Based Curriculum. We refer to Aistear (The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework for children in Ireland) to aid us in providing enjoyable and challenging learning experiences for all our chi

ldren. Our Curriculum incorporates many themes throughout the year. We also use the children’s own ideas and interests to deliberately create learning environments that encourage children to become engaged, to explore, to experiment, solve problems, to create and construct. So we were very busy gathering supplies for this activity and I have to say it was worth it. One little boy was very excited to come in to Playschool and announce to everyone that he had brought us in his rubbish! As the saying goes one mans junk is another mans treasure. We had so much learning and fun with all our recyclable materials. It all started with a shop where they were very busy buying and selling and then progressed onto crafting. The children showed great teamwork, concentration, creativity and imagination and made some wonderful creations.

We witnessed so much incredible fun and learning. Halloween is always one of our favourite times in Playschool.
