We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, John Davies.
John has been part of the centre for many years, teaching aswell as displaying his wonderful art as part of the Clancy festival and more recently in the last few years, we had the true pleasure of welcoming John for his weekly art class, which meant every Tuesday morning was lit up by his wonderful positive energy
John was a talent beyond words-not only as an extraordinary artist, but as an exceptional teacher. He was a gifted storyteller and historian, as well as being extremely knowledgeable and would share wonderful information and ‘did you know’ facts with us. He was filled with joy and laughter and always had a joke to share, accompanied by an infectious smile which would brighten your day.
John possessed great compassion and understanding; he was one of life's true gentlemen. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
