Learn a vital skill. We teach this....after all, an ambulance takes at least 10 minutes to reach you and usually longer.

New Legislation May Finally Allow Responders and Occupational First Aider' s to Administer Epi-Pens etc.

Due to a recent case in Dublin there may be a change in current CPG's ( Clinical practice Guidelines ) allowing responders ( CFR, OFA and EMFR ) to administer Adrenaline via Auto pens like Epi-Pen and Jext Pens etc. This is a fantastic idea and we at ERC will keep you posted as the present system only allows Creche staff to do this upon Parental Consent. Typically only 25 % of creche staff need to have passed a 3 day Fetac 5 Occ First Aid Course and 75 % need to have completed a 1 day Paediatric First Aid Course ( Co Kildare HSE Creche Staff requirements ).
