Droichead Family Resource Centre Callan Droichead FRC is a community facility in Callan that aims to bring people together. Courses and Grou School, West Street, Callan, Kilkenny in November 2015.

Droichead Family Resource Centre was established in Callan in 2004. The centre relocated to a more suitable premises in the Old C.B.S. Our aim is to provide a wide variety of supports, services, educational and recreational opportunities for the people of Callan and surrounding areas. The following list is a small sample of what is currently on offer in the centre -

We at the Droichead Family Resource Centre would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended our Annual Garden Party on Friday, 31st July. This was a lovely opportunity for people from local communities and surrounding areas to come together to see the services we have to offer. Alongside our continuing Family Support Services, we are rolling out many new programmes this autumn term. This event was very kindly sponsored by kilkenny County Council.

🌟 Volunteer Leaders Needed in Callan & Freshford! 💙

Would you like to help empower young people to become the best version of themselves, reach their full potential and play an active role in their community? 🙌🌱

Foróige Clubs in Callan and Freshford are looking for Volunteer Leaders to help create a safe, welcoming and fun environment for young people.

As a Volunteer Leader, you’ll:
🤝 Get to know and support young people
💡 Help them choose, plan and take part in activities
🌱 Guide, mentor and encourage them
🎉 Support club meetings and occasional interclub events
👥 Work alongside a team of fellow volunteer leaders

⏰ Clubs meet weekly during the school year, with volunteers asked to give around 60–90 minutes per week on an agreed evening.

Tomorrow is a big day for thousands of young people across Ireland as Leaving Certificate results are released.

To everyone receiving results, we wish you the very best. Be proud of the work, commitment and effort that brought you to this point. 🌱

Remember, your results are one part of your journey. They do not define your potential or determine your future.

There are many routes to a fulfilling career and life. College is one path, but there are also apprenticeships, further education and training, internships, employment and opportunities to take a different route and you can always change direction along the way.

Whatever your results, you do not have to decide your whole future tomorrow. Take your time, talk to someone you trust and remember there are many ways forward. 💙
