Tullamaine Graveyard with the outline of the remains of the church clearly visible, even though the Ordnance Survey letters say different. The foundations are also still visible on the ground. Can't even trust John O'Donovan anymore...shocking. The church was allegedly dedicated to Saint Catherine, but the holy well nearby is dedicated to Saint Maon, a female Irish saint. He served as a Chaplain in the British Army during both World Wars. He was a chaplain to Montgomery's army in Africa, and on D-Day he was in charge of all the Catholic Chaplains during the invasion.

Birth.

Joseph Patrick Stapleton, son of Daniel James Stapleton and Johanna Stapleton, formerly Cahill, was born on 20 August 1888 at Tullamaine, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

His father was a Farmer

He died at Milltown, Co. Dublin, aged 62, of Arterial Sclerosis and a Cerebral Thrombosis

"Claim for £11 for loss of butter goods at the Great Southern and Western Railway Company, Kingsbridge Railway Station [Heuston Station], Dublin. Deemed consequential loss, nil payment recommended by Committee. Butter was sold by the Great Southern and Western Railway Company to Crown authorities."
