We had a great day touring Portmagee and Valentia. Thanks to the O’Donoghue family of the spectacular Kerry Cliffs for looking after us. For many students, it was their first visit and they were blown away by the beauty of the cliffs.
We also enjoyed our visit to the Skellig Experience where we enjoyed a documentary about the Skelligs. We then went on to the Slate Quarry in Valentia. Here Mr. Dineen played the viola and Liam played the prayer bowl. The sound was extraordinary due to the beautiful acoustics of the quarry.
Finally, we visited the Skelligs chocolate factory, where everyone sampled the tasty treats.
The sun was shining but everyone braved the bitter cold of the scaraveen and had a very enjoyable day.
Many thanks again to Catherine Curran for driving us in the Garda bus , , ,
