A reminder that the ITA Female Training Day takes place tomorrow, Sunday 11 October, at Unit 6 Portarlington Business Park, Portarlington. Training events like this provide opportunities to learn, train alongside others and build connections across the ITA community. We wish everyone attending a productive and enjoyable day.

Reminder that registration is now open for the 2026 Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) National Championships and Irish Cup which will take place in The University of Limerick Sports Arena on 07/08 November.

A strong national association is about more than events. The ITA supports affiliated clubs and instructors through education, administration, resources, safeguarding, coaching development, competition pathways and access to a wider Taekwon-Do community. These supports help clubs concentrate on what matters most: providing quality experiences for their members.

Results matter, but so does the journey that leads to them. Every competitor who prepared for the World Cup has demonstrated commitment through training, preparation and the willingness to test themselves at an international level. We are proud of the effort shown by ITA competitors and the clubs that helped prepare them.

Reminder that the Female Training Day event organised by the ITA Women’s Committee takes place this weekend on Sunday 11th October.

Venue:

Unit 6 Portarlington Business Park, Portarlington.

Time:

10am - 12pm for Black Belts

12.15pm - 2pm for Colour Belts

This special event is open to females aged 16 years and older.

It is another opportunity to highlight and support female participation and development within Taekwon-Do.

International competition is the result of much more than what happens on competition day. Athletes prepare through regular club training, coaching, physical preparation, technical development and support from family, teammates and club communities. The ITA provides a pathway that connects these experiences and supports members at every stage of their Taekwon-Do journey.

The World Cup has provided another opportunity for Irish Taekwon-Do practitioners to compete internationally, learn from experience and represent their clubs and country. Thank you to everyone who trained, coached, officiated, travelled, supported and contributed to the journey. The work continues when we return to our clubs.

Today marks the final scheduled day of competition for the ITA delegation at the World Cup. Whatever the results, every competitor who prepared, travelled and stepped onto the floor has added another chapter to their Taekwon-Do journey. We are proud of the commitment shown by our competitors, coaches, officials and supporters.

From club training to international competition. One of the strengths of the ITA membership pathway is the range of experiences available to practitioners. Students can develop through regular club training, gradings, safeguarding, administration supports and coach education.
