Scoil Náisiúnta Bhantiarna Lourdes, (Our Lady of Lourdes National School) is a 17 teacher co-educational Catholic primary school which caters for pupils from 4 years to 13 years of age. Hurling, camogie and football are provided as extra curricular activities for both boys and girls. We place a great emphasis on Gaeilge and provide a Gaeilge Club after school. Instrumental music lessons are taught

by a specialist teacher who visits the school.

'It is our mission and purpose to provide an education which has at the centre of its organisation, activities and relationships; values that reflect the ideals of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.'

Our school participates in the Green Schools Programme - an international environmental education programme and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole-school action for the environment. We have been awarded four green flags to date. We promote interest in STEM activities and have been awarded the Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science & Maths Award for the last three years. We are a school that strives to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community and we have been awarded an Active School Flag.

🌞Today was the last day of our Summer Camp. We had a great week, lots of fun, games, activities, songs, crafts, library trip, a visit from Dave's Jungle and today a visit from the Ice cream van.
🌞Well done to all the boys and girls - we are looking forward to seeing you all again next Wednesday.

Bit late off the mark with this post but our Junior and Senior Infant classes had a fantastic school tour this year in Kia Ora farm a fortnight ago! Lots of fun and laughs were had, straight from the off! For many of our kids even the bus ride was a new experience, great day altogether 😁🚎🐶🐰🐴🦙🐥🦌🍟🍨
