We were absolutely delighted to reopen our doors today and, most especially, to welcome our wonderful new Junior Infants 💛

They had a brilliant first day settling in, making new friends, exploring their classroom and enjoying lots of fun and play ✨

One week to go until Kilmyshall National School reopens on Thursday 27th August! 🎒📚

We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back and seeing the school filled with happy faces once again.

A very special welcome awaits our 28 Junior Infants, who will be starting their exciting journey with us. We are so proud and delighted to have you joining our school family and we cannot wait to see you settle in, learn, grow and make wonderful memories with us. 🌟

🏆⚽ Congratulations to these fantastic young footballers! ⚽🏆

Some of our pupils proudly took part in the Carnew Emmets U-9 Football Tournament 2026, representing their club, Kilmyshall National School and Our Lady of Lourdes National School with great pride.

They played against teams from Waterford, Rathvilly, Kilanerin-Ballyfad and Ballinteer St John’s, showing excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

👏 And what an achievement — they won the Plate! 🏆

A huge congratulations to all the players and their teammates. You represented your club and schools excellently and with great pride. We are incredibly proud of you all! 🌟

🎶💜 A Wonderful Achievement for Our Pupils 💜🎶

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our pupils who are members of the St Kevin’s Under 18 Marching Band, who achieved an outstanding 2nd place at the Fleadh in Belfast last weekend in the Under 18 Marching Band Competition. 🥈🎶

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of the dedication, commitment and hard work shown by each and every member of the band.

A special congratulations must also go to Helena and Megan Dunbar, whose exceptional guidance, encouragement and tireless work have helped make this achievement possible.

Congratulations are also extended to our former 6th Class pupil who came in 3rd place in the men’s English singing competition 👏🏻

Well done to every member of the band — you have done yourselves, your families and our school community immensely proud. 💜🎶👏
