I regret to announce the passing of Síle O Tierney (Síle Ní Thiarnaigh). Síle taught violin with us for many years and was our secret benefactor! Yes, she generously donated the scholarship prizes for violin and piano each year thus enabling many to continue with tuition or take up a 2nd instrument.

Síle was a kind and gentle lady who lived to her 91st year.

This sad event comes at a time we are hopeful the music school will reopen. Then we can finally offer and name the prize 'The Síle O Tierney Award'.

Very sad to say the Music Centre has been closed until January. There has not been time to make it Covid ready, and we are hoping everything will be in order to resume in January.

In the meantime please contact your teacher to see if you can make alternative arrangements until then.

Theory teachers will be in touch as these classes can continue privately online.

Apologies to both Tanya and her wonderful students that it took me so long to put up their photos. They were prize winners at Arklow Feis at the start of March. As many of you may know, Arklow Feis is highly competitive with many top students from Dublin taking part. Congratulations to Deirdre and Sofia!!
