🐝🌼 Happy World Bee Day! 🌼🐝
Today, we celebrated the incredible role that bees play in our world and the importance of protecting these tiny but mighty pollinators.
Our fifth class pupils explored how they could model bee waggle dances to indicate direction and distance as part of their Science Blast project at the RDS last March. They learned about the vital role bees play in pollinating plants, supporting biodiversity, and helping to produce much of the food we eat.
As part of our World Bee Day celebrations, the pupils visited classes throughout the school to share some fascinating facts about bees and to help raise awareness of just how important they are to our environment.
We are incredibly proud of the hard work, enthusiasm, and scientific curiosity shown by our fifth class pupils. 🐝💛🌍

We had a special visitor to Forest School today. Dr Ben Phalan, Ornithologist, from Enniskerry but living and working in Brazil. Ben shared his wealth of knowledge of birds with us in the forest and we tried out some binoculars too. Ben joined in some forest games with us and tried our dandelion tea. Thank you Ben !

This week, our 5th Class pupils had a special experience as they opened letters from their past selves, written when they were in Ms. Mooney’s 4th class. ✍️💌
As part of the An Post Letter to My Future Self project, this activity gave them a chance to pause, reflect, and think about their dreams for the future. It was inspiring to see they had to say! ✨
We’re looking forward to seeing how they grow and where their dreams take them!
