The Final Stretch to put the finishing touches on Borrisoleigh Town Park is here.

The Pave the Park fundraiser is aimed at completing some much needed developments in Borrisoleigh Town Park such as the development of a tarmacked car park with Spacing, Kerbing and Lighting along with the building of a public toilet, which work is already underway.

This is our cry for help.

We are delighted to announce that Muddy Puddles Childcare have come on board as the main fundraising sponsor with an incredible contribution from Trevor & Staff.

Please follow all our social pages for all information on sponsorship options and events as we celebrate Borrisoleigh Town Park throughout the months of August and September.

Launch of "Pave the Park" Fundraiser:

The launch of the "Pave the Park" Fundraiser which is sponsored by Muddy Puddles Childcare takes place in the Park on Sunday evening next starting at 6pm.

The event will include a host of fun challenges for kids and adults alike while also including the opening rounds of the Borris-Ileigh club mini leagues in camogie and hurling.

Amongst the fun events that will be held are the following:
● Camogie & Hurling Sharpshooter competition
● Adult 5 aside soccer tournament
● Soccer Slalom event
● Basketball shootout
● Gaelic Football shootout
● Penalty shootout
● Team water relay
● and more.... (something to suit everyone)

All of the above will be free of charge with the exception of the Sharpshooter competition and adult soccer tournament.

Soccer Tournament:
We will be hosting a 5 aside adult soccer tournament in the AstroTurf.

The entry fee for this is €50 per team.

If you want to enter a team into this, you can do so by contacting Declan Maher at 0871444977 of Pat Keane at 0876380649 before 9pm tomorrow night (Saturday).

We will be playing the first rounds of the event on Sunday evening (knockout basis) with the winners going onto the Grande Finale night in September.

Sharpshooter competition:
The entry fee for the Sharpshooter competition is €2.

For your €2, you get the following:
Adults - One round of shooting at the target (8 shots per round) and you also get a free ticket for the Pave the Park fundraiser draw.

Under 18s - For their €2, they get 3 rounds of shooting (8 shots per round) and they also get a free ticket for the Pave the Park fundraiser draw.

You can have as many attempts as you want on Sunday evening.

■ There is a male and female competition
■ At the end of the evening, the top 8 scorers will go forward to the Grande Finale night in September.

All other events are free of charge.
We will be keeping the scores/times in all of them and again the top 8 finishers in each event will go forward to the Grande Finale night in September.

We would encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a great night of challenges on the night
