Are you confident using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD design package?

We'd love your help!

Our Transition Year student, Mehret Flynn, recently won the overall top award at SciFest for her innovative device, Bloom Buster™, which is designed to help tackle harmful algal blooms.

As she continues to develop her award-winning project, Mehret now needs to create a 3D CAD model of her design so she can take her prototype to the next stage.

We're looking for a volunteer with experience in 3D CAD modelling to collaborate with Mehret in producing this digital model. This would be a fantastic opportunity to support an aspiring young engineer and help bring an exciting innovation one step closer to reality.

The role is entirely voluntary and would suit an engineering, product design or manufacturing student, graduate or professional who has some time to spare over the summer. Ideally, we'd like the CAD model completed by the end of July.

Final assembly of 2026!

What better way to end the year than celebrating some of our wonderful pupils for their kindness, their positive attitude, improving handwriting and focus. Well done to all our students for a great year - hope you have a fantastic summer!

Brilliant Brains @ BETNS! 🌈 🧠 ✨

We had a fantastic time together today marking the importance of neurodiversity and shared in the sunshine and play ☀️

So wonderful to see children across the school engaging in sensory play (such as messy play, water play, blocks & bubble machine) and enjoying themselves!!

We each have a unique brain and that’s what makes us all amazing. Together our superpowers help us face each day and grow our hearts and minds 💕

Sports Day @ BETNS!!!

The weather cooperated and we had a fabulous day of sports and fun yesterday!

We had a busy morning of races, an obstacle course, hockey & basketball, football & yoga! In the afternoon we were delighted to see our whole school community and many past pupils enjoy dodge ball, tug of war & wellie throwing.

Thanks to parents who helped out with parking on the day…and well done to all students for participating. A great day had by all! 😁

This day last week 3rd & 4th had a fantastic day out at Clara Lara fun park…all the children wished we could stay longer and are determined to go again 😁
