Today at Montessori we had a wonderful time celebrating pancake Tuesday. The children became little chefs for the day carefully mixing their ingredients cooking their pancakes and flipping them , they showed great concentration and excitement throughout the process. After cooking they enjoyed a creative activity where they used cutting and gluing skills to design their own pancake faces we finished our celebration by sitting together at snack time to enjoy the delicious pancakes they had helped to make it was a fantastic day full of hands-on learning creativity and tasty treats

Happy Chinese New Year ,at our Montessori the children enjoyed celebrating by exploring and tasting a variety of delicious Chinese foods. They had great fun creating their own dragon masks and working together to make a wonderful dragon for our special dragon parade. The children also played Chinese New Year bingo and proudly brought home their lucky Chinese necklace to share with their families. It was a joyful celebration filled with creativity, learning ,and lots of excitement .Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

This week our children explored the importance of Oral health through hands on meaningful learning. Enjoying role play at the dentist, practicing real life skills learning how to care for our beautiful smiles. The children are bringing home Colgate toothbrush, toothpaste and their healthy awards.

We also focused on healthy eating discovering nutritious food, matching them to our sugar board, exploring the food pyramid using our Montessori materials. Through these activities the children learned how food choices affects our bodies in a fun , engaging and appropriate way.

At our Montessori learning is always hands on , purposeful and connected to real life. What a wonderful learning experience we had together.

The children brought their teddy bears and dolls in to school and we extended our learning with our teddy bear hospital .
