A huge weekend of sport ahead of us.
This Sunday in the co grounds of Aughrim Blessington Blessington GAA & LGFA are in the Minor A boys final at 14 00.
Several BCC students will playing and we wish them all the very best of luck.
Beforehand St Kevins are in the minor B final and likewise we have students from our school playing.
Best of luck to both teams and we hope they bring home the cups.

A great effort from our Blessington girls against St Leo’s, Carlow, in their minor match! The girls battled hard and showed great determination throughout. 👏

Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day, as the girls went down 6–1. However, a special well done to Sophie Horan, who scored a fantastic goal for Blessington! ⚽️🙌

First Year Rugby Blitz Report - 12/10/26
Our First Year Boys rugby team headed out to Portlaoise RFC this morning for a challenging tag
rugby blitz. Competing in short, fast-paced matches against different schools across Leinster.
We had outstanding numbers with over 20 boys willing to get stuck in, playing multiple
back-to-back games required a massive squad effort, and every single player stepped up and
tried their hardest claiming 5 straight victories.
Blessington’s first match against Athy College was a tough first game, finishing with a 1 try lead,
Leaving the score to a tight 2-1. We had tries from Riley and Mason.
The second match against Naas CBS, the lads started to get in the swing of things, dotting
down a 6 try win. Tries from Riley, Aaron, John and Luca. Leaving the score to 6-4.
The third match, against Maynooth Community College, was a fair game. The lads competed
with swift passing and good determination. Winning try from Riley, as well as Aaron, Luca and
Wiktorz.
The last two matches, against Athy’s and Maynooth’s Second Team’s, showed our dominance
and skill. Great covering from our MOTM Zach across the fields, Aaron with quick feet and
Mason and Ollie with strong drive slipping through lines. Special mention to some of our new
players Cormac, Ollie and Jake for their courage and amazing levels of commitment.
Ultimately, the blitz was a massive success for player development and team bonding. The boys
represented the school with top-tier sportsmanship and a serious work rate from the first whistle
to the last.
Special thanks to Mr Carley, Ms Tyrell and Trevor for guiding and coaching the lads to all their
wins. Thank you to our TY’s Brooke and Janessa for taking photos!!

Solid win for our 17’s in the second round of the All Ireland A Cup today. We travelled down to Greystones in what on paper looked a potentially tricky tie against a well fancied St David’s Greystones side. Our boys were solid throughout showing the experience we have gathered over the last 4/5 years dining at the top table of Irish schools soccer. Max Power got 2 on the day an excellent addition to the squad with his first goal a wonderful strike on the half volley from the edge of the area. Liam Richardson killed the game off with a wonderful curling effort late on to wrap up the scoring and see us into the 3rd round of the cup. Best on the day were the back four of Mason Foy, Zach Carroll, Wil O’Connor and Zack Geoghegan and special mention must go to Max Power for his two goals and Callum Brennan who really caught the eye when introduced! Well done boys let’s keep pushing! 💚🤍

Cookery Club is back! 👩‍🍳

We’re delighted to announce that Cookery Club will be on Wednesdays from 1:06pm for one hour.

Recipes will be shared 3 weeks in advance, so the students will know what they’ll be cooking each week.

The club is a great opportunity for the kids to learn some valuable life skills, build confidence in the kitchen, and learn how to create simple, tasty meals they can make at home and when they head off to college. 🥘👩‍🍳

We have a few spaces left, so if your child would be interested in joining, please let Mary or Ms Ball know.

We’re looking forward to getting cooking!

Today we celebrated our fantastic 3rd years from 2026 who received their Junior Cert results.
Year Head Mr Kirby spoke to the students beforehand reminding them of all of their hard work and congratulating them on their brilliant results. Well done to all 🎉🥳
