As the long days and nights passed by In a blur spent sitting at the side of an incubator in nicu . All we could do was touch Flinn’s tiny little hands and feet (this is where his love for a good foot rub comes from 😂)we chatted to him telling him all about his brother’s and family and how much they love him and can’t wait to meet him ,we read stories ‘guess how much I love you’ was definitely a firm favourite ❤️we sang songs and pretended like nothing else was going on ,trying to block out all the beeps and alarms of the machine’s and Doctors and nurses coming in and out to him this was all becoming unbearably painful to watch we felt so helpless my poor baby didn’t deserve to be going through all this 💔 Every Thursday in the 8 weeks spent in the Coombe nicu a cardiac consultant came over from crumlin childrens hostipal and gave Flinn an echo of his heart ,every week they’d call myself and Jason in to tell us his heart was progressively getting worse and his prognosis was bleak ,every week I told them back that he will be ok without hope you have nothing 💪❤️ 22/08/2023

26/05/20 I woke up the next morning alone ,no baby in a crib beside me and realisation was starting to kick in of what had just happened , I rang the bell to get a nurse to help me out of bed and tell me how Flinn was and bring me to him, they didn’t come quick enough (probably a minute or so 🙈)so i managed to get out of the room and crawl along the corridor to go see him the fear of as unreal I couldn’t wait I needed to know now that he was alive and ok thankfully a nurse seen me and helped me to go straight up to icu to him they allowed me in then told me the Chaplin was going to batiste Flinn at 10 am and to get jason in (flinn was born in the height of covid restrictions were fierce) but under the circumstances they would allow the both of us to be there 🙏 Flinn was baptised and though it was a shock what was going on it was the most beautiful magical service a memory we will never forget ❤️and as you can see from the video Flinn was awake and we got to see his beautiful eyes 😍😍😍welcome to the world Mr Flinn Jason Pio Lynham , Pio in his name as he was born on Padre Pio’s birthday which happened to be his late great auntie Imelda’s favourite person 🙏💔 22/08/2023
