Blarney Community Playschool Blarney Community Playschool has been providing quality and affordable childcare to the familes of Blarney and surrounding areas for over 30 years

Our Playschool is registered with Early Childhood Ireland (ECI) and is regulated by Túsla (Child and Family Agency) At Blarney Community Playschool we have 6 Playschool leaders who are Fetec Level 5 and 6 qualified and who have extensive experience working within the childcare sector. They also attend training and development workshops on an ongoing basis.

Our Teddy bears picnic in beautiful Blarney Castle and Gardens. This is a highlight of our year, we take a walk through the castle grounds, host a picnic, treasure hunt and races. Each child gets a medal and treats ♥️

The Hungry Caterpillar 🦋
This week we were reading The Hungry Caterpillar
This book talks about healthy eating, so we followed on making yummy healthy smoothies 😋 each child helped pick and slice fruit, we made lots of combinations. The children loved choosing what to use, they all had their favourites. Cheers ❤️

On Friday we were delighted to have a visit from our local Community helpers with special thanks to Firefighter Peter Spillett and Ben, Paramedic Tony and Garda Sean.
The children loved every minute, they got to use the water hose, turn on the sirens, see the inside of the ambulance, fire engine and Garda car ❤️
And to top it off we had a visit from the ice cream van, Thanks Finbarr 🍦
Such a treat to have this visit, we are very grateful to all who took time out of their busy day to come visit our Playschool 👏👏

Sensory play is always popular with our boys and girls. They get to feel different textures, rainbow rice, poms and foam play. They scoop, they pour and with foam they use their hands to play and create ❤️ really fun activities for all to enjoy

How many Planets are there??
There are 8 planets in the Solar system 🪐🌍🌌
We have had so much fun learning about Space and the Solar system, this is one of our favourite activities each year. The boys and girls learn about space, rockets, astronauts and much more 🌍🌍 its been so much fun
