📚 All Year groups are back tomorrow for a full timetable!
First Years will continue with induction training
Breakfast in the Main Hall from 8.15am.
⏰ Classes begin at 8.45am.
Aim to be in school ahead of the first bell.

Starting the year with strong attendance, punctuality and good routines makes such a difference. Every day counts and every minute matters!

We are delighted to welcome our new First Year students tomorrow, Tuesday 1st September at 11.10am for induction and to meet their Year Head and Tutors.

☕ Parents/Guardians are invited to join HSCL Ms Quinn for tea/coffee and a chat while students attend class and to answer any questions you may have about secondary school.

Welcome Back!

We were delighted to welcome our 6th Year and 3rd Year students back to Blakestown Community School today. It was wonderful to see everyone returning and reconnecting with friends, teachers, Year Heads and tutors.

On Monday, we look forward to welcoming back our 2nd, 4th and 5th Year students.

The first days and weeks of school are so important. Good attendance from the very beginning helps students to:
✓ rebuild friendships and relationships
✓ settle quickly into school routines
✓ keep up with learning from day one
✓ feel connected and part of our school community
✓ start the year positively and confidently

Every school day matters. Every minute counts.

♻️ Uniform Donations Wanted! ♻️

When our Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students finish their exams and prepare for the next chapter, we are asking families to consider donating any school uniform items that are no longer needed.

We would be delighted to receive: 👕 School jumpers
🏃 School tracksuits
🧥 School jackets and PE gear

These donations will help stock our new Blakestown Community School Swap Shop, launching this September. The Swap Shop will support families, reduce costs and promote sustainability within our school community.

Thank you for helping us make a difference for other students while giving pre-loved uniforms a new life. 💛
