Thanks to Jessica and Niamh from Butlers Pharmacy Birr for coming to our school today to give some boys the WINTER FLU nasal vaccine. Parents signed up via the link and the process organised through Ms O Sullivan worked really well with over 30 boys involved and all got a lollipop 🍭 too ! Very important that we keep ourselves safe this winter season 👍

Well done to our Gaelic football team as they played a good match against a skilful Mucklagh team. All boys on the panel got to play in the match so well done to coaches Mr Hogan and Mr Dolan for managing that . Thanks to Ref Martin as always and to Birr Gaa for the excellent surface at St Brendan’s Park. Training continues next week as the boys face a tough knockout match 👍
Well done lads 👏 Maith thú buachailli 👏

Very productive and informative teacher CPD day led by Oide in area of language awareness as part of the implantation of the new curriculum. Both school teaching staffs from St Brendan’s PS and Mercy Primary came together for the day which offered a great chance to develop relationships and collaborate in preparation for our school amalgamation into Holy Family Primary school Birr in September 2027👍

5th class had a brilliant time today on the walking tour of Birr. This is part of our creative cluster art project 2025-2027 and being led in our school by Mr Seamus Hogan. We look forward to exciting news from the class as the project develops in coming weeks . Mr Brian Kennedy was a super tour guide today with such great knowledge and passion about Georgian Birr and history of our town 👏 Laois Education Centre
