With the brighter weather finally making an appearance, our TY Community, Activism and Engagement students have been making the most of it by getting out into the community and making a positive difference.
Over the past week, students have been busy litter picking around our school grounds and the wider local area, collecting several bags of rubbish and helping to keep our community clean and tidy.
This initiative has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to get out in the fresh air, work together, and take pride in the place they live. They have really enjoyed the chance to contribute positively to the local area and to play their part in caring for the environment.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Bettystown Tidy Towns for their support and guidance, as well as for providing equipment such as litter pickers, gloves, and waste bags. Their support has been invaluable in helping our students take these first steps in community action.
As the weather continues to improve in the coming weeks and months, we are looking forward to many more outings, including further work around the town and on the beach.
