It was an absolute pleasure meeting up with the 6th class of Laragh National School on their final day of term last week.

Alannah came up with the idea of a fun day, and her classmates worked together to organise and take part in this recent fundraiser. Two local charities were chosen to benefit from the funds raised, and Cork ARC were delighted to receive a cheque for €1,185 which will go towards supporting the free services Cork ARC provide for people with a cancer diagnosis and their families.

We would like to thank Principal John Lordan, and all the staff who helped with this event and of course, Alannah and the rest of her class for choosing to support Cork ARC. We wish the class all the best in secondary school!

*Fun Day 2026*

The weather may not have been the best but the fun continued anyway! Congratulations to the 6th Class for a very well organised and well run day! They raised an incredible €2369.45 for Bandon Community Hospital and Cork ARC Cancer Support House. Thank you to everyone who supported the day. Congratulations to Méabh in First Class, our winner of this year's Laragh's got Talent!

🎶 Parents and siblings were treated to a wonderful musical performance, showcasing a variety of instruments under the guidance of our amazing Kay O’Flynn. Well done to all the pupils involved! 👏🎵

Our Class of 2026 celebrated their graduation on Monday evening. They put a lot of work into what was a lovely celebration of their 8 years in Laragh. We wish them all the best as they move on to their next adventure 💫

3rd and 4th Class had a super time in Cuskinny, Cobh on their school tour last week. They all enjoyed a fun filled day of activities and making memories with their friends.

Junior and Senior Infants had an amazing day in Fota last Friday! The sun was hot, the ice cream was cold and the animals were in flying form! We even met the lemurs out on their daily walk 😍
