Fantastic First Years!
As we come to the end of our first full week of the school year we have to give a very special mention to our new first year students. We all know how challenging starting a new school can be and it's fair to say that these wonderful young people have had a super week. Well done to all-we are so happy to have you here!

Welcome Back Senior Prefects!
Today was a very exciting day in CCBS as our new first years became part of our school community. On hand to help with settling them in to secondary school life were our fantastic Senior Prefects!

🏄 Ballyshannon surfer Isabella O’Reilly sealed her place at the EuroSurf Junior Championships after a commanding performance at the Irish Surfing Junior Event in Bundoran.

🇪🇺 O’Reilly, of the Donegal Bay Boardriders, won her section at the latest Irish Junior Tour event in Bundoran.

Summer Programme 2026 – That’s a Wrap! ☀️

What a fantastic Week 2 we’ve had with our incoming First Year students! 💙

It was a busy week filled with fun, new experiences and plenty of opportunities to get to know one another. Students enjoyed a trip to the Abbey Theatre to watch the classic Cool Runnings, along with swimming, volleyball, badminton, dodgeball, football, basketball, a bouncy castle, art activities and science experiments. 🎭🏊‍♂️🏐🎨🧪⚽🏀

Most importantly, new friendships and relationships have begun to form, confidence has grown, and it was lovely to see so many smiling faces leaving us today. We hope the week has helped make the move to First Year that little bit easier. 😊

And with that, Summer Programme 2026 is officially done and dusted! 🎉

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful staff for their time, energy and enthusiasm in making the programme possible, and to all of our students for making it such an enjoyable two weeks.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the new school year! 💙

To the CCBS Class of 2026: we are already so proud of what you have achieved.

Tomorrow is another milestone, one that you have all worked so hard for. We hope that it is everything you want it to be.
