West Mayo school leads the way in digital learning ahead of Senior Cycle reform 08/04/2026

Great to see this media piece where Sancta Maria College Louisburgh are recognised for leading the way in digital learning ahead of Senior Cycle Reform.

As Principal Dr Áine Moran says, “as a school in a rural and coastal area, we’ve always understood the importance of ensuring our learners aren’t limited by geography.” She highlights how technology gives every student equal access to opportunities and prepares them for a digital future that is already here.

It was a pleasure for Wriggle to support and host school leaders from across Ireland to see this work in action. As Seán Glynn from Wriggle Learning noted, this isn’t about technology for its own sake, it’s about improving how students learn, collaborate and demonstrate their understanding.

We’re in Westport today hosting our Leadership Event at The Grace. ⭐

The day began with a visit to Sancta Maria Louisburgh, before returning to The Grace for sessions focused on leading senior cycle reform with a student device model. A special shoutout to the brilliant students from Sancta Maria Louisburgh who shared how they use iPad and the difference it’s making to their learning. 👏

We had a great field trip with school leaders to Sancta Maria Louisburgh, Co. Mayo today, seeing how a strong student device model supports digital learning in everyday practice.

From students travelling from the islands to those on the mainland, it was encouraging to see how technology is helping ensure all learners are included and well prepared for Senior Cycle 👏

“Technology used effectively in the classroom opens up learning beyond the confines of a textbook.”

At Sandymount Park ETSS, that’s clear to see. With digital tools embedded into everyday teaching, students have the space to explore topics in ways that suit them, work together more easily, and take real ownership of how they learn

A parent from Sandymount Park ETSS shared how much the iPad has supported her daughter’s learning, giving her the confidence and digital skills to become tech‑savvy and independent, preparing her for her future.

And with the iPad being a fully managed, secure and classroom‑ready device, parents can feel reassured knowing it’s safe, protected, and focused purely on learning.

Did you know that every Wriggle 1:1 school is supported by a dedicated Customer Success Manager? Their role is to work closely with each school to understand their needs and provide ongoing support.

The Principal of St Mary’s College Naas shares how this gives their team real peace of mind - and also helps them stay connected with other schools on the same journey.

18/03/2026

St Mary’s College Naas quickly saw the impact a 1:1 device programme can have after visiting other schools already implementing it. Seeing the approach in practice confirmed that the device plays a valuable role in supporting and improving teaching and learning across the school, and it continues to strengthen and enhance their teaching and learning every day!

Great to have David Gillick, former European Indoor 400m champion and Olympian, join us as our keynote speaker today in Mount Juliet, with RTÉ’s Darren Frehill.

David had the room fully engaged as he shared honest, uplifting stories from his athletics career, the highs, the setbacks, and the moments that shaped his mindset. He spoke about resilience, discipline, and the people who inspired him along the way, leaving everyone with plenty to think about (and a few laughs too).

A brilliant addition to an already inspiring day. 👏
