We want to say a huge thank you to everyone across Ireland who has taken to the streets and stood up to our government. Your courage, determination, and willingness to speak out is not going unnoticed — it matters, and it’s appreciated.

We stand in full support and solidarity with all those protesting. If there are any local demonstrations happening this weekend, we would be proud to join and stand alongside you.

Working in the early years sector, we see first-hand the financial pressures families are under every single day. Rising costs are already a heavy burden, yet parents are still being penalised for collecting their children early if they don’t meet NCS hours — it simply doesn’t make sense.

Since September 2021, early years services have been operating under a government-imposed fee freeze — absorbing rising costs while striving to maintain quality care for children and families.

Yet while our sector has been expected to stand still on fees, the reality around us has not. Fuel costs, utilities, and everyday expenses continue to rise, placing increasing pressure on providers already working at capacity.

Early years services are essential. We support children’s development, enable parents to work, and contribute to our communities every single day. But sustainability matters.

If fee freezes can be implemented to support families, why is there not the same urgency when it comes to rising operational costs like fuel?

It’s time for balanced solutions that support both families *and* the sustainability of early years services. It’s up to all of us to come together, speak out, and demand better. With strength in numbers and a united voice, we hope real change can happen — not just for families and children, but for everyone affected by the ongoing cost and fuel crisis.

Together, we are stronger.

Is this your size? Do you hold a minimum full level 5 award in childcare or equivalent....then this might just be your missing jumper....it's not a one size fits all and it is a limited edition!!.
It only suits people who know how to have fun, laugh lots and show a passion for providing enriching experiences for all the little girls and boys in their care.....and ssshh...don't tell anyone but it's not really considered a job when you love what you do🤫😉
so if you think it's nice to be nice and easy to be kind and you are interested in a full time permanent position then please send your CV to [email protected].
