Krafty Kidz Ballyconnell Krafty Kidz are a registered charity providing community childcare services with various facilities in Ballyconnell and surrounding areas.

We provide affordable, quality childcare for children aged 6 months to 12 years old and operate all year round. We aim to make high-quality childcare affordable for all children and our fees are among the lowest in the County. Full Daycare €145 per week
Part-Time Daycare €80 per week
After-school €60 per week
Pre-school €64.50 per week. Childcare reductions are available under https://www.ncs.gov.ie/en/

🎉 What a way to finish our Summer Camps! ☀️🍦✨

Both of our Summer Camps celebrated the end of Summer with a fantastic day earlier this week🪄🎩

The children enjoyed an amazing magic show, followed by a very welcome visit from the ice cream van! 🍦😋

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and families for making our Summer Camps such a success. ❤️ And of course, a massive thank you to our fantastic staff for all their hard work, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the summer.

We hope everyone had a brilliant time and made lots of lovely memories! 🌈💫

Now, we’re looking forward to getting back to school next week… although we’re not quite sure the children are ready for that yet! 😂📚

And there’s plenty to look forward to, including an exciting addition to our Ballyconnell After-School — our newly renovated Portacabin! 🎉🏡

📢 A little clarity around our childcare waiting lists

Across our five services, we currently have over 350 children on our waiting lists.

For babies under one, we have over 50 babies waiting for just 3 places — and incredibly, over half haven’t even been born yet! 😮

We know waiting can be frustrating, particularly for families who have been waiting months or even years. Sadly, we cannot offer a place to everyone.

Our waiting lists reflect the high demand for our services and the trust families place in us. We’re incredibly proud of the reputation we have built within our community and of the care, support and opportunities we provide. ❤️

Places are allocated as they become available in each individual room, using our live waiting list and enrolment criteria. Places are not simply allocated on a first come, first served basis, and siblings of children already attending our services receive priority.

We are continually working to create additional places for local families and have some exciting developments coming soon! 🥰

💛 A very special goodbye to Karen 💛

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful colleague and Childcare Manager at Krafty Kidz Daisy Hill, Karen Lynch.

Karen has been such an important part of our team and has given so much to the children, families and staff at Daisy Hill. Her dedication, kindness and support have made a real difference, and we are going to miss her more than we can say. 🥹💛

While we are sad to see Karen leave us, we are also incredibly proud and excited for her as she takes on a new role managing a fantastic new community preschool Daoine Beaga 🙌🏻

We are delighted to see new community childcare services opening and operating on a not-for-profit basis, creating more opportunities for children and families within thier communities. We wish Karen every success as she begins this exciting new chapter. 💕

Karen, thank you for everything you have done for Krafty Kidz. It has been a pleasure to have you as part of our journey, and although we’re saying goodbye, we know this isn’t really goodbye — just the beginning of another exciting chapter for you. 💕

CULLYLEENAN SUMMER BBQ 💛

A huge thank you to our amazing Cullyleenan team for organising a fabulous summer BBQ for all our families. It was such a lovely evening — plenty of food, lots of chatting, happy children and, thankfully no rain 😂

It’s so important that our families feel part of the Cullyleenan community, and evenings like this are a great way to bring everyone together and for parents to get to know each other. It was especially lovely to see some of our new parents meeting the team, getting to know everyone and having a good nosey around our facilities!

A massive thank you to Gerard Crowe and our own superstar Chef Gyorgyi for the delicious food — nobody went home hungry! 🌭🍔👏

And a special thank you to one of our parents, James, who kindly donated some gorgeous alcohol-free mocktails from his fabulous new business Morella Mocktails. 🍹✨ They were a huge hit!

We love seeing our children, families and staff enjoying time together outside the usual busy days at childcare. ❤️
