Our wellbeing space, An Nead, was completed in April and has already become a much-loved part of our school.

An Nead (meaning “The Nest”) is a calm and welcoming sanctuary for every child in our school — a place to rest, reset and regulate whenever they need a quiet moment during the school day.

With soft lighting, calming textures and supportive resources, An Nead provides a warm and nurturing environment where pupils can feel grounded, supported and ready to learn again. Our hope is that every child will see An Nead as a safe, caring space created with their wellbeing at heart.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported our Parents’ Association fundraisers this year. Your generosity enabled the Parents’ Association to make a very generous contribution of €3,000 towards this project.

A special thank you also to Ballyconnell Credit Union for their kind donation of €500 through the Community Fund.

Additional funding came from the sales of our school calendar at Christmas, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make An Nead a reality.

A huge thank you to our Student Council members for creating this video and giving us a quick tour of An Nead — we hope you enjoy seeing this wonderful space in action!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Our final PEACEPLUS ASPIRE activity of the year took place on Friday 29th May, when the whole school travelled to Killeshandra NS for a day of fun, creativity and friendship. Pupils enjoyed a drumming workshop, sports games and junk art activities, while strengthening the bonds built through the PEACEPLUS ASPIRE programme.

It was a wonderful way to round off another successful year and mark the completion of the first two years of our partnership with Killeshandra NS. We look forward to many more shared experiences over the next three years!

Well done to the girls who represented the school so brilliantly at the Cumann na mBunscol football blitz today in Crosserlough GAA grounds. They gave a fantastic account of themselves, winning three out of their four matches, and just missing out in a place in the final. 👏👏

An incredible €1,406.56 was raised recently by the St Mogue’s N.S. community for the Mary's Meals charity. Today, the children proudly presented the cheque to Patricia Shannon from Mary’s Meals.

Patricia told us that this amazing contribution will provide daily meals for 70 children for an entire school year - almost 13,000 meals - for some of the most vulnerable children in Malawi.

A fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of kindness and generosity. Well done everyone 👏

First Communion Class of 2026

Congratulations to Oscar, Caoimhe, Orlaith, Holly, and Anna, who received their First Holy Communion today. It was a wonderful and memorable occasion for all involved.

A sincere thank you to their teacher, Ms. Reilly, for preparing the children so well for this special day and for coordinating the school choir and céilí band. The addition of our school choir and the St. Mogue’s NS Céilí Band this year made the celebration even more special. We are also grateful to Fr. Sean for leading such a beautiful ceremony.

Thanks to Sean Deely for all his work over the last few weeks, supporting and guiding the choir, and for the lovely music today.
