We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a very special grandfather and much-loved member of our school community, George Mahon.

For many years, he was such a familiar and welcome face at our school gate, always there to collect his excited grandchildren with a smile and a friendly word.

His presence at the gate and at our school events will be greatly missed by us all. We hope his family, and especially his grandchildren, will find comfort in the many precious memories they have shared and in knowing how fondly he will be remembered by our school family โค๏ธ

Our heartfelt sympathy to all his family at this very sad time.

Sending our best wishes to Miss Glenn ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sending our best wishes to Miss Glenn ๐Ÿ˜Š

Gillian had the privilege of joining the Donegal Group of Parishes last weekend for Emma Glennโ€™s commissioning service! Emma is heading to Nairobi for a 3-week STEP placement with the Tujisaidie Community. Please pray she will be a blessing, and in turn is blessed by the community in Kayole.

โš ๏ธ Public Safety Notice โš ๏ธ

Visitors to the Robertson N.S. are advised to take extra care around the playground today as reports have emerged of a large gathering of teddy bears enjoying their annual picnic. ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿงบโ˜€๏ธ

Witnesses have reported suspicious levels of fun, copious amounts of snacks and several bears refusing to return to the classroom without one last game. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ˜„

If you happen to pass by, please do not be alarmed. The bears appear friendly, well-behaved and are enjoying a wonderful day in the sunshine with their young handlers.

Further updates will be provided if any bears are spotted attempting to sneak home in schoolbags. ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ

Yippee! Against all the meteorological odds and after the month of weather we have just had...somebody was clearly looking out for us and sent glorious sunshine for our annual "Let's Get Very Wet and Eat a Barbecue Outside" Day! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŒญ

Water Day was as much fun as ever, with water balloon games, relays, plenty of soaking and the always-popular challenge of limbo under the hose... although avoiding the water may have been virtually impossible! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿšฟ

A huge thank you to Johnny for keeping everyone well fed with his delicious burgers and hot dogs ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒญ, to Mrs Duncan for all her hard work organising the day and to the ice cream van for providing the perfect grand finale. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜‹

Sunshine, water, food, friends, ice cream and just the right amount of chaos...what more could you want? Perfect! โ˜€๏ธโค๏ธ

Eight years. Hundreds of school days. Countless memories. And somehow, it's time to say goodbye ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽ“

Our End of Year Event last Thursday evening was, as always, a bittersweet occasion as we celebrated our 6th Class pupils and prepared to send them on to the next stage of their journey. For eight years they have been part of our school family, filling our classrooms, playgrounds and corridors with laughter, friendship, energy and personality. It is difficult to imagine school without them.

There was beautiful singing, plenty of smiles and more than a few moments spent looking back on all that these children have experienced and achieved together over the years. From their first days in Junior Infants to their final days in 6th Class, they have grown into confident, capable and caring young people of whom we are immensely proud.

Using 'The Ant and the Grasshopper Fable' as our theme, we reflected on the importance of hard work, perseverance and preparing for the future. Like the Ant, these children have spent years learning, growing and laying strong foundations for what comes next. Now they are ready to spread their wings and begin a new chapter.

We will miss each and every one of them more than they know. We thank them for the laughter, the memories and the contribution they have made to our school. We wish them every success, happiness and friendship in the years ahead. Once a Robertson pupil, always part of our school family. โค๏ธ

After hearing all about paddleboards, rivers and forest adventures from the older children, our younger Aspire pupils decided they weren't about to miss out on the fun! ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒŠ

Together with their friends from St. Eunan's NS, they headed off for a day of adventure with Wild and Free at Rossylongan Forest and the Holmes Beach. There were forests to explore, sticks to collect, things to climb over, beaches to investigate and plenty of opportunities for the children to do what they do bestโ€”run, play, imagine and have fun together.

The teachers were delighted to see so much teamwork, curiosity and friendship on display. The children, meanwhile, were delighted to discover that puddles, sand and mud are just as entertaining as they have always been! ๐Ÿ˜‚

A huge thank you to Wild + Free Adventure Co. for a wonderful day outdoors and to our Aspire partners in St. Eunan's for another memorable adventure together. ๐ŸŒฟโค๏ธ
