Autism Parent & Family Support Morning is Back!

Join us for a relaxed cuppa and chat on Tuesday, 8th September from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

This is a welcoming space to connect with other parents, guardians, and family members of autistic children - to share experiences, support one another, and know you're not alone.
Whether your child has a diagnosis or you're currently on the pathway, you're very welcome to join us 💛

Mayo Older Persons Council will hold its AGM and Information Day in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar, on Monday, 7th September.

Date: Monday 7th September 2026
Venue: TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar
Time: 10am to 2pm (Registration time from 9.30am)

It promises to be an informative and enjoyable event, and Mayo Older Persons Council members would be delighted to see as many older people from across County Mayo attend as possible

Ballina Carers Support Group
Enjoyed a much needed day out for our hard working carers during National Carers Week.
We travelled to Turlough for breakfast at The Bay Leaf Cafe in Horkans Garden Centre. Thank you to Elle and staff for looking after us so well . The food was delicious with plenty of hot tea. We indulged in a little retail therapy before moving on to Westport and Spa Sula at The Plaza Hotel for treatments. Thank you to Sarah and the wonderful therapist who made sure we were de-stressed and ready for Dinner in The Castlecourt Hotel. The service and food were excellent both in the bar and dining room. Our thanks to all the staff who were so helpful and friendly to us all, and a big thank you to Rhonda Chambers who
made sure everything ran smoothly.
A big thank to our lovely bus driver Johnny from Corcoran’s Bus Hire. Lahardane who got us there and back home safely.
National Carers Week recognised the dedication shown by family carers every day and the vital role they play in our communities and a reminded that carers need support, recognition and opportunities to look after their own health and wellbeing while caring for others.

The Annual Golf Classic organised by Ballina Lions Club - Ireland will be held on Saturday, 2nd May in Ballina Golf Club. Ballina Autism Friendly Town (BAFT) is excited to host an Easter Egg Hunt at Shore Farm Pony Therapy this coming Monday, 30th March for Autistic Children and their siblings.

There are 2 small-group sessions:
▪️11:00am - 12:00pm
▪️12:15pm - 1:15pm

The event includes an Easter egg hunt, optional face painting, creative arts and crafts and a therapeutic pony ride for each child 💛
