Using Lego pieces, children will be shown how to design, build and programme their own robotic creations, under the guidance of our expert instructor. No previous experience is required - just some imagination and enthusiasm.

We're offering two sessions, beginning at 10am and 12.30pm respectively. Please note a parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of the workshop.

We were thrilled to learn we were successful as a school in becoming Primary Climate Ambassadors this year through greenschools. Ms Carey's class worked hard on projects, artwork, growing food and looking at ways to help our pollinators. It was a wonderful experience for all involved. 🪴🌱

Many thanks to everyone at the Owenenny Wind Farm Visitor Centre for a wonderful day today.

All of our Sixth Class pupils attended an engaging workshop and had the opportunity to explore the centre, walk part of the new 5km trail, and view the wind turbines up close.

We would like to thank all of the staff for their warm welcome and excellent organisation. We would encourage everyone to visit Owenenny during the summer months, when a variety of workshops will be running. The centre is open to the general public from Thursday to Sunday.

Last week our school proudly received our second 'Curious Minds Gold Award' from Research Ireland, in recognition of all of our work this year in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).

Throughout the year, we have been documenting all of the fantastic work that has been happening across the school in the area of STEM, as well as the wonderful work done by Ms. Howley and our Green Schools Committee. We are hugely proud of being recognised as a school that values STEM education, and to receive this award two years in a row. Thank you to all of the pupils for your incredible work this year and we look forward to more exciting learning opportunities in the new school year!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Frank Irwin, Club Development Officer with Ballina Stephenites. Over the past few months, Frank has provided his coaching expertise in both hurling and football to every pupil in our school from Junior Infants to 6th class. A range of new skills were learned and developed and fantastic fun was had by all involved.
"Is it our turn to have Frank?" was the most asked question on Fridays😁
