🌿 First Year Bonding & Outdoor Education Programme – Day 1 🏹🛶

Our First Year students had a fantastic day at Petersburg Adventure Centre as part of our bonding and outdoor education programme! 👏

The students took part in a range of exciting activities, including orienteering, archery, canoeing and kayaking. 🧭🏹🚣‍♂️

Everyone got involved in orienteering and archery, before taking to the water for either canoeing or kayaking.

It was a brilliant day of teamwork, communication, challenge and, most importantly, having fun while getting to know their new classmates! 🙌

Well done to all our First Years for their enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the day. 💪

🏑 First Year Hurling Blitz – Annaghdown 🏆

Our First Year hurlers had a fantastic day out at the First Year Hurling Blitz in Annaghdown today, competing against schools from all over the county.

We split the group into two teams of 13, with both teams getting plenty of valuable game time. Collectively, the two teams played 8 games and came away with 6 wins! 👏

Ideal preparation for the First Year Championship in early December, with plenty of hard work, skill and determination on show.

We’re looking forward to getting the championship underway! 💪🏑

🏉 Senior Boys Rugby

A fantastic effort from our St. Brigid’s Senior Boys Rugby team, who were beaten 17–33 by Merlin College Galway in a highly competitive game played in extremely windy conditions. 💨🏉

There was plenty of determination and commitment from the lads throughout, with tries from Flynn Miller, Tommy Smith and Peter O’Donnell, and Joshua Whiriskey adding the conversion. 👏
