🩵🏆 U15 John West National Féile🏆🩵
Our U15 boys are heading to the John West National Féile, a fantastic achievement for the team, their coaches and everyone connected with the club.
Féile is a huge occasion in the life of any young GAA player. It is about football, friendship, pride in the jersey, representing your club, and making memories that will stay with them for years.
We are fundraising to help support the boys with the costs involved, including gear, accommodation, buses and food. We would love the wider Athlone GAA community to get behind them and show them how proud we are of what they have achieved.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help make this experience special for the lads.
Please support and share the fundraiser where you can:

Let’s get behind our boys and send them to Féile with the full support of the club behind them.
Funds raised above the target will be given back to the club for juvenile development.

Well done to all of our U14s who played tonight in the Division 2 and Division 6 finals. It was a great achievement for the club to be competitive in both Divisions in the first half of the season.
The Division 6 team showed great courage to come back from a significant deficit and will be feeling they left the title behind them tonight. Well done to Garrycastle who held on on the night.
The Division 2 team also showed great belief to get themselves back into the game, given they were 7 points down after 15 minutes, against a physically strong Killucan side. All 16 Athlone players showed great tenacity and resilience in holding on to a 4 point lead in the dying minutes despite the size and power of the spine of the Killucan team who desperately tried to drive through the heart of the Athlone defence to get a much needed goal. A big thank you to Michael Union and Cillian Coughlan made the long trek back from the Gaeltacht to play the game and both put in outstanding performances. Well done to Killucan for their part in what was a compelling and nail biting final.
A big thank to all of the parents for their support in the first half of the season and for getting players to training and games. While we did plan to celebrate reaching both finals this Friday, we're going to wait until Michael and Cillian are back from the Gaeltacht before we get everyone together. It's back to training on Sunday evening and championship in 2 weeks. Well done to all of our players for their excellent attitude and commitment.
