Art , crafts , science, dance , cookery , engineering- It's been a very busy November so far. We had our slogan competition for Green Schools. Well done Milena on winning! We took part in Science week and we began our Zumba dance classes with the wonderful Valentina . We created hats using our knitting looms. We have been involved in healthy eating through the Food Dudes programme and also as part of our English programme on procedural writing we made soup with the younger children! Many thanks to all the parents on their generous contributions to our Shoe box appeal and a special word of thanks to our neighbour Teresa for getting involved and supporting this very worthy cause! Global Citizenship at its finest showing the less fortunate that we care!

Halloween Party and Attendance Awards

We were very excited to welcome Annette Corkery from Heritage in schools today as we are working towards our Green flag on Global Citizenship and Biodiversity. We started off working on the web of life and then it was outdoors to the garden for a bug hunt. We planted broad beans in one of our raised beds, investigated living things in our hedgerow, sang songs, did a soil test which will be completed tomorrow, played a game of moths and bats, listened to and identified birds on the merlin app, did some light yoga and drew pictures recording the day’s experiences. What a wonderful break from the books but yet an enriching and informative learning experience in our own school garden!

Lismoil N.S. bids a fond farewell to three fabulous students. Best wishes to Mia, Hannah and Emma as they begin a new chapter in their lives. We will miss them so much as they were excellent students, super role models, our in house I.T. experts and three lovely young ladies!
We had a few more happy heads earlier this week also as we celebrated our Attendance awards ceremony. Congrats Danylo on achieving the top award again!!

Green fingers in Lismoil N.S.!

Keen gardeners harvesting our fruit and vegetables this week. Our raised vegetable beds were a new venture for us in Lismoil this year. We had some very proud children bringing home strawberries, lettuce, carrots , chard , onions and mange tout. All sown, transplanted and cared for from seed to plant by the children
