Congrats to Dylan Redmond, Class of 2025, whose project for his Leaving Certificate Construction Studies was chosen to be showcased in the Visitor Centre in St Audeon’s Church in Dublin over the tourist season ahead.
Dylan created a replica of the Dublin City Wall with St Audeon’s Gate, inspired by the work that his father completed as master stonemason on the original Dublin City Walls on Cook Street.
Dylan is studying History and Politics in Maynooth University and we wish him continued success and congratulate him on this great accolade.

We were delighted to contribute to the Time Capsule project, organised by Arklow RNLI, as part of their bicentenary celebrations.
Our school was represented by Sara Forde, Chairperson of our Student Council, who handed over our school’s contribution. The time capsule holds contributions from schools, community groups and organisations from the Arklow community and will be reopened in 2076, for Arklow RNLI’s 250th celebrations!
Congratulations to Arklow RNLI on 200 years of service to the locality. Our school has strong links to Arklow’s maritime tradition, when we operated as Arklow Marine School in the formative years of our school’s history.

As the start of the State Exams draws closer, here is some very important information for our Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students.

And so the end of the 2025-26 school year has come! Well done to all students who completed their in-house exams, double classes and exit interviews over the last while. Continued good wishes to our Third and Sixth Year students, as the revision continues ahead of the State Exams starting next Wednesday.
A huge thanks to all our students & hard-working and committed staff for all the work both in-and-out of the classroom over the last nine months. It has been another fantastic year for our school. We are fortunate to learn and work in such a thriving school community, at the heart of an Arklow community that we have served for 120 years.
Information on back-to-school arrangements for 2026-27 will be issued later in June. In the meantime, we hope everyone has a wonderful summer break with plenty of quality time with family and friends.

As we draw a close to the school year, our Senior Canteen area has been a lovely focal point with our Gratitude Tree, as part of our Restorative Practice work.
Every student contributed their own butterfly, capturing what they’re most grateful for! 🦋 Many thanks to Ms Tighe and the TY students who helped out with the design.
It’s important to remember the small things in life, as they’re the most important things that bring meaning to our lives!

2nd year wood technology final project assessment.
This project tested many skills and introduced the students to laminating wood. This is carried out with thin timber pieces called laminates which are steamed, glued, and placed in a desired shape. Students also used the newly fitted laser engraving machine to engrave designs into the base. The projects were carefully sanded and finished with food safe mineral oil and raw linseed oil which enhances the timber and adds durability.
