A Look Back at our Teddy Bear's Picnic We hope you are considering hosting a Little Garden Gathering this June supporting Make-A-Wish Ireland. These gatherings are a wonderful way to connect with other childminders, the children you mind and their families while celebrating outdoor play and learning.

A little Irish goes a long way!

You don't need to be fluent to introduce Irish into your childminding day. Simple words and phrases used regularly can help children become familiar with the language in a fun and natural way.

A quick pause, a deep breath, a moment to reset… all part of a childminders day.🌸

Paediatric First Aid Training for Childminders 👶🚑

Be prepared to respond in an emergency. Our in-person Paediatric First Aid course gives childminders the practical skills and confidence to care for a sick or injured child until medical help arrives. ❤️

🕤 9:30am – 4:30pm

During this interactive one-day course you will learn essential skills including:

🫀 CPR for infants and children
🍼 Infant choking response
🤕 Head injuries, burns & scalds
⚠️ Allergic reactions & poisoning
🛌 Recovery position, seizures & more

📘 Participants will receive a Paediatric First Aid manual and a Certificate of Attendance valid for 2 years.

💶 €80 for members | €90 for non-members

Saving Water in Your Childminding Home 💧

Small everyday habits can make a big difference. Turning off taps when not in use, using a jug instead of running water, and encouraging children to be mindful during handwashing all help to reduce water waste.

Childminders: The Little Garden Gathering takes place between 18-21 June. This garden party charity fundraiser offers childminders a wonderful opportunity to host outdoor celebrations with the children in their care, all while supporting the incredible work of Make-A-Wish Ireland.
