Did you know that the Coral Triangle or the "Amazon of the Seas" supports the livelihoods of over 120 million people?🌏 In Southeast Asia, coral reefs are not just biological wonders, they are the lifeblood of our coastal communities🛶

However, a crisis of injustice is unfolding...
While small-scale fishermen often face strict zoning, large-scale industrial destruction from mining and sedimentation, as seen in Raja Ampat and Ha Long Bay, frequently escapes accountability. When corals die, we don't just lose fish, we lose food security, economic futures, and coastal protection.

At its core, this is both an environmental issue and a matter of our fundamental right to a secure future✨️

For two days, Academic Writing Workshop brought more than theories to the table✍️✨

🔹 Dr. Indri Dwi Apriliyanti opened the discussion on turning broad ideas into focused research questions.

🔹 Dr. Priyambudi Sulistiyanto shared insights on building a sustainable academic path, emphasizing the importance of research identity and leveraging strong academic networks.

🔹 Dicky Sofjan, M.A., MPP., Ph.D. challenged participants to rethink how they observe research objects, pushing them to question assumptions.

🔹 I Made Andi Arsana, S.T., M.E., Ph.D. highlighted how research can move beyond publication, connecting knowledge to real-world impact and policy relevance.

🔹 Dr. phil. Vissia Ita Yulianto closed the workshop by emphasizing clarity, ethics, and consistency in academic writing.

Through real experiences shared by the speakers, hands-on insights, and practical discussions, each session stayed grounded👀 Something participants could actually relate to, not just sit and take notes on.

What was once taken from the forest is now being given back ✨

In Mentawir, mangroves once cut for livelihood are now carefully protected. Guided by the local community who have long lived alongside these forests, the mangroves are opening their paths once more, welcoming visitors as a place of conservation and ecotourism 🌱🌊
