The Faculty of Social Sciences has seven departments offering eight study programs, such as :
1.Civic Education
2.Public Administration
3.Geography Education
4.History Education
5.History
6.Sociology Education
7.Social Sciences Education
8.Communication
Welcome to Yogyakarta State University (YSU), to apply as an international student at YSU, a candidate must:
1.be a graduate of a high school,
2.have minimum TOEFL score 475, IELTS Band 6, or its equivalent,
3.be fluent in both spoken and written Indonesian*),
4.fill in the YSU International Student Application Form
5.attach the application form to the following documents:
a. a copy of high school diploma or its equivalent. An official translation is needed if the diploma is not in English or Indonesian and has been verified by the authority.
b. a copy of academic transcript record (preferably in English)
c. a copy of official English/Indonesian proficiency certificate
d. two recent passport-size photographs
e. a letter of reference/recommendation/support
f. a medical statement, and
g. a 400-450 word letter of motivation
6. submit the above documents in both hard and soft copies to:

*) A bridging course is provided for those who do not master Indonesian very well.
