The cooperation between Universitas Gadjah Mada and Osaka University through ‘Disaster Management and Humanitarian Action Research Center’ is mainly dedicated to serve and assist the society to better able cope with disaster, be it natural or man-made. The five-year program is constituted by three pillars of action: Research on conceptual and theoretical framework of disaster management, community capacity building in coping with disaster, knowledge disseminations and public networking.
