Est. 2023 Lighthouse Academy Middle school is located in Ubud, Bali and caters to students ages 10 to 14 (Grades 5-8). We are a private school that emphasizes academics and entrepreneurship within the framework of a project-based, experiential curriculum that encourages students to ask questions, explore and problem-solve through action. Our values are: honesty, inclusiveness, freedom, responsibility, courage, creativity, critical thinking, and humility in which we promote these values and attributes through a holistic education program that encourages students to attain the full potential and become leaders within their communities.

It feels like some people really miss the point of education: Education is not just about online courses or better tools (AI).

For children, going to school and seeing adults who are patient, calm, fully-adjusted individuals, is a huge mental shift. Social connection and positive role-modeling is part of education.

The basic educational needs of children and students will always be the same: teach critical thinking , embody a positive moral example and pique their curiosity enough for them to find their path. AI skills should come after.

Children will never know how to not be manipulated by AI outputs, without these fundamentals.

It's a pleasure and joy to see new, and returning students today. We look forward to an amazing school year ahead. : )

holistic, inter-disciplinary, project-based curriculum for Grades 5-8 (ages 10-14), with an emphasis on student emotional wellbeing, academics & entrepreneurship.

🏅Dedicated, full-time Student Support grade to help students fill knowledge gaps and catch up to the curriculum.
