💦 One week later, we’re still making waves!

Here’s another look back at some highlights of our DSJ Schwimmfest 2026 – a day filled with exciting races, impressive performances, sporting spirit, and plenty of fun in and around the pool.

From the surprise Grade 8 relay victory to Neptune’s rather short-lived grand entrance, this year’s Schwimmfest once again created memories that will last long after the final splash.

A big shout-out to our DSJ Seals, who gave their all in the pool and embodied the spirit of teamwork, determination, and fair play throughout the event. 🦭 Go Seals!

📚 Vorlesewettbewerb 2026
Auch in diesem Jahr stellten unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler der Grundschule und Orientierungsstufe (Klassen 1–6) beim Vorlesewettbewerb ihr Können unter Beweis.

Im Vorfeld wählte jedes Kind ein eigenes Buch aus und las daraus eine ausgewählte Stelle den Schülerinnen und Schülern der Jahrgangsstufe 10 vor. Diese begleiteten den Wettbewerb als Jury, Organisatoren und Moderatoren.

🏆 Beim heutigen Finale in der Aula lasen die Erstplatzierten ihren Mitschülern einen Ausschnitt aus ihrem selbst gewählten Buch vor und erfreuten das Publikum mit Lesefreude, Ausdrucksstärke und Selbstvertrauen.

Neben einer Urkunde erhielt jedes Kind ein Buch als Erinnerung an diesen besonderen Tag. 📖

Was für ein Jahrgang:
3 unserer 19 Graduates haben einen Notendurchschnitt von 1,0 erreicht – weitere 9 Absolventinnen und Absolventen liegen ebenfalls im 1er-Bereich. Eine wirklich starke Leistung, auf die ihr unglaublich stolz sein könnt.

Für die meisten von euch geht das Abenteuer jetzt weiter nach Deutschland zum Studium – und wir sind gespannt, wohin euch euer Weg noch führen wird.

Die Abiturfeier war emotional, voller Freude, Erinnerungen und wahrscheinlich auch ein bisschen „Das war’s jetzt wirklich?!“
Und jetzt beginnt das nächste Kapitel.

Bleibt neugierig, mutig und offen für die Welt.
Und ganz wichtig: Don’t be strangers. 💙

Congratulations to our Abitur graduates of the Class of 2026!

What an incredible year group:
3 of our 19 graduates achieved a perfect final grade average of 1.0 – with another 9 graduates also graduating within the top 1-range. A truly outstanding achievement that you can all be incredibly proud of.

For most of you, the next adventure is about to begin in Germany as you continue your studies – and we can’t wait to see where life will take you next.

The graduation ceremony was emotional, joyful, unforgettable… and probably filled with a few moments of “Wait, is this really the end already?”

Now the next chapter begins.

Stay curious, brave and open to the world.
And most importantly: don’t be strangers. 💙

🧪✨ Die Klasse 9 hat ein spannendes Experiment durchgeführt!
Wir haben aus natürlichem Rotkohl einen Säure-Base-Indikator hergestellt und damit verschiedene Alltagsstoffe getestet 🌈🔬

Getestet wurden unter anderem:
🍋 Zitrone
🍈 Guave
🥣 Essig
🧼 Spülmittel
🧴 Waschmittel
🚿 Porzellanreiniger

So konnten wir herausfinden, wie sauer oder basisch diese Stoffe sind und welchen Nutzen sie im Alltag haben. Lernen durch Experimente macht einfach Spaß! 😍💡

Ein wilder Tag im „Light Jungle“ – mit Matsch, Abenteuern und ganz viel Entdeckergeist 🐾

Heute haben unsere Kindergarten- und Vorschulkinder einen ganz besonderen „Green Job“ kennengelernt:
🐝 den Imker – unseren Bienenschützer

Denn:
Ohne Bienen – keine Blumen.
Ohne Blumen – kein Obst.

Unsere kleinen Entdecker wissen jetzt: Auch die Kleinsten können Großes für unsere Welt tun 💛

A wild day in the “Light Jungle” – with muddy boots, big adventures, and curious little explorers 🐾

Today, our kindergarten and preschool children discovered a very special green job:
🐝 the beekeeper – protecting our bees

Because:
No bees – no flowers.
No flowers – no fruits.

Our little explorers learned today: even the smallest can make a big difference for our world 💛

National Education Day 2026 (Hardiknas) 🇮🇩

A delegation from Deutsche Schule Jakarta joined the official National Education Day (Hardiknas) ceremony in South Tangerang, held at Al Azhar BSD School.

Together with representatives from government and leading schools across the region, the event highlighted the importance of education as a shared responsibility and a foundation for the future.

Thank you to the South Tangerang Education and Culture Office for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this meaningful occasion.



Hari Pendidikan Nasional 2026 (Hardiknas) 🇮🇩

Eine Delegation der Deutschen Schule Jakarta nahm an der offiziellen Hardiknas-Zeremonie der Stadt Tangerang Selatan an der Al Azhar BSD School teil.

Gemeinsam mit Vertretern aus Regierung und führenden Schulen der Region stand die Bedeutung von Bildung als gemeinsame Verantwortung und Grundlage für die Zukunft im Mittelpunkt.

Vielen Dank an das Bildungs- und Kulturamt Tangerang Selatan für die Einladung und die Möglichkeit, Teil dieser besonderen Veranstaltung zu sein.
