Long before that holy night, prophets foretold the coming of a Savior. His birth fulfilled God's promise to redeem the world. While shepherds, humble and overlooked by society, were the first to witness His arrival, and wise men traveled from afar to honor Him, one thing is clear—this was no ordinary birth.

Born in a stable, Jesus, the King of Kings, showed us that God’s love and plan for salvation are far greater than we could imagine. His story is more than just history; it’s the good news of hope, joy, and redemption for all of us.

As we celebrate Christmas, let’s pause and reflect on the significance of His birth in our own lives. How does His love and sacrifice shape the way we live, love, and share light with others? 💫

Join the exciting journey of Grade 9 students at SPH Pluit Village as they take part in their STEM Day project! 🔭🔍🌍🗺️

As part of their Project-Based Learning (PBL), our ninth graders work on a special STEM Day project. They spend a whole term investigating different real-world problems in Indonesia by combining Science and Global Perspectives. They also explore different cultural viewpoints, which helps them understand these challenges better.

This collaborative effort shows how working together and learning from different subjects can make a positive impact. They want to raise awareness and find ways to improve the problems faced in Indonesia!

We are beyond grateful to two groups of our 9th Grade students for their remarkable success as the 1st & 3rd place winners of the 2023 Southeast Asia National History Day Competition! 🏆

The group of Sophia, Annabelle, Gisella, and Tristany’s project on the ‘Riot Grrrl Movement’ was able to win first place in the Senior Group Exhibit category at the International National History Day competition, which was held remotely at the Singapore American School.

The group of Queentin, Nadine, Chloe, and Valerie’s project on ‘Dewi Sartika and Early Education for Women in Indonesia’ took 3rd place in the Senior Group Exhibit division.

Both groups’ projects brought to light hidden stories of women pioneers who challenged the status quo and helped women cross into new historical frontiers.

We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and proud as the first winning team will represent Indonesia on the International National History Day in Washington, DC, this June.

From savory Indonesian dishes to spicy Chinese soups, they cooked up a storm in their Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin classes. A special guest, Mrs. Lilly from Doremi Kitchen, shared her expert cooking skills and taught them how to make Indonesian Gudeg and Chinese 酸辣汤 (hot and sour soup)!🍲

But that's not all - the Grade 4 students put their newfound knowledge to the test with a Food Festival where they showcased their Project-based Learning research on Indonesian and Chinese cuisine. And who better to judge their delicious dishes than the Grade 3 students eagerly sampling every bite? So let's feast our way through the flavors of Indonesia and China while learning about their history, geography, language, and customs. Bon appetit! 😋✨

Tatyara’s mission service learning experience at SLH Banjar Agung, Lampung, has been nothing short of a beautiful story orchestrated by God.

She has witnessed how God works in mysterious ways to bring about profound transformation. As she stepped out of her comfort zone and embraced the challenges and joys of serving others, Tatyara’s life took an unexpected turn. God’s hand was evident in every moment, guiding her, shaping her character, and revealing His love through the connections she made and the impact she had on the lives of the students at SLH.

Praise be to God for the outstanding accomplishments of our Grade 4-7 students at SPH Kemang Village, who fearlessly embraced the challenge of the World Scholars Cup (WSC) along with over 1320+ participants! 🏆 We rejoice in their remarkable achievements and give thanks for their unwavering dedication.

🥇 Our Grade 4 students have emerged as true champions, securing 1st place out of 100 skittles teams in the overall WSC team, debate team, and team challenge categories! Through their exceptional performance, they exemplify the blessings that come from hard work, perseverance, and God's grace. 🌟

🏅 Additionally, our talented students from other grades have been bestowed with well-deserved recognition in various Junior division categories, standing out among the impressive competitors, including being the top 25 overall champions. We acknowledge that their gifts and abilities are God-given and celebrate the unique ways they reflect His glory. 🌟
