Swiss German University (SGU) was established in the year 2000 as a joint effort between Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Indonesia and has successfully become the first international university in Indonesia. Eleven bachelor’s and three postgraduate degree programs in SGU offer international dual degree courses which combine both theoretical and practical training (internship), fully supported by

We proudly celebrate the accreditation achievements of Swiss German University’s Study Programs. Chemical Engineering and Master of Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) have achieved “Unggul” Accreditation by LAM Teknik, while Industrial Engineering has successfully obtained accreditation from LAM Teknik.

At the same time, the Information Technology Study Program has achieved “Unggul” Accreditation by LAM INFOKOM. These achievements reflect SGU’s continuous commitment to academic quality, continuous improvement, and excellence in higher education.

On August 20, 2026, Swiss German University officially signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Banten Regional Office of the Ministry of Law at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, South Tangerang, marking an important step in strengthening the protection and utilization of intellectual property within the academic environment.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Pagar Butar Butar, Head of the Banten Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, Rector of Swiss German University.

Through this partnership, both institutions strengthened their collaboration in intellectual property education, registration assistance, capacity building, internship opportunities, and the development of SGU’s Intellectual Property Center. The collaboration also supported the protection and utilization of works generated through education, research, innovation, and community service, reflecting SGU’s continued commitment to building a stronger intellectual property ecosystem and encouraging the development of impactful academic and innovative works.
