These are what the last two weeks of our Summer Program 2026 looked like 🙌
Students immersed in Balinese culture by staying with local host families while practicing Bahasa Indonesia. They learned traditional Balinese music and dance, experienced the Subak system through rice harvesting, made coconut oil and coconut bowls, and cooked traditional Balinese dishes. They were warmly welcomed by the children in the village, who were excited to spend time and play with the SIT students.
On the last week students also enjoyed visits to Bali Bird Park and Bali Starling Village.
The program concluded with student presentations showcasing what they had learned throughout the past 1.5 months.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Summer Program such a meaningful experience. We hope these memories and connections will last long after the program has ended 🙏
