The final presentation of E+ by the participants. We saw great subjects they brought. Thermal & Fluid Engineering, Renewable Energy, and Energy Management & Green Building blend as one for 3 hours. In the end, we believe they got many lesson. We close the event by taking photo together.

We continued our social development. The activity today was testing the reactor by feeding the mixture cow's f***s into it. We worked for 6 hours making it. There were some problems, we had to bring the 100 kg f***s located 2 km from the process area by cart and the drum got a little leakage. But we were keep trying to fix it and finally made it. Now, we have to wait for 19 days for the reaction of the substance while the reactor shaft must be rotated everyday.

After keep struggling for few weeks, we could finally set the biogas reactor as our social development project in proper position. Next step is testing the function of the reactor using some procedure. For the preparation, we will set it up by next week. After that, testing is running.

There are some documentation for E+ activity held on April - May 2015. Our member give some subjects and tasks to the participant. We can see they put attention well and keep focus in this activity. Come on guys, learn the lesson to let your mind blowing!

After coming back from Sidoarjo, we held a welcome party for E+ participant. E+ is a training given by member of Energy Engineering and Environmental Conditioning Laboratory for freshmen and sophomore of Engineering Physics Department ITS. The event will be held in 4 meetings and divided into 3 area of interest, Thermal & Fluid Engineering, Renewable Energy, and Energy Management & Green Building.

We continued our social project in Sidoarjo, East Java at Orphanage Sabilillah An Nahdliyah. The installation of the biogas reactor has begun. We set the pipe, hose, drum, and its placement. The activities started on noon and finished on evening. It was really tiring but we kept striving because we know it will give benefit for the orphanage. It hasn't been finished yet. We will go there again by next week.

Fluid mechanics is one of subject we learn in our department. It is also related to our laboratory. So, we held a visitation to Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering ITS. We focused on learning the wind tunnel working principle.
Wind tunnel is used to make a simulation of fluid (air) that flow and hit an object experimentally. The objects vary from a simple sphere, half sphere, and airfoil. Then, we can determine the pressure and velocity in some point around the object, drag and lift force of the object, laminar or turbulent flow, also the form of the flowing fluid when hitting the object.

We visited an orphanage in Sidoarjo, East Java for developing our social project. It is about biogas reactor. It will convert the cow f***s into gas and the gas product is used for cooking activities.
After striving for 6 months thinking and making revision of our design according to our welder suggestion, the device was finally ready and put there. Tomorrow we will go there again to analyze and set it up.
