Did you know that higher spiritual health significantly lowers depression levels among young adults, highlighting spirituality’s vital role in mental well-being.
Research conducted by Sitty Aizah Mangotara and team entitled Correlation of spiritual health and depression among young adults in a state university in Southern Philippines showed that spiritual health, as expressed through existential well-being and religious well-being, is a separate component that lends explanatory power to mental well-being prediction. The study advises heads of health sectors in various institutions to intensify their fight against depression. Additional research is also strongly encouraged

Did you know that Birth weight and hospital stay length significantly predict survival of preterm infants suffering from respiratory distress syndrome.
Research conducted by Naphaklacha Pholanun and team entitled The incidence and factors predicting survival among preterm infants with respiratory distress
syndrome admitted to neonatal intensive care unit showed that The current study found that the incidence remains a problem, while birth weight and length of stay predicted survival of preterm infants with RDS. These findings provide nurses and other healthcare providers with information to anticipate care required in the NICU to improve survival of preterm infants. This information can be used to plan care for the infant and to educate and support parents.

Did you know that Maternal nutrition, anemia, and previous low birth weight history are key factors causing low birth weight infants.
Research conducted by Sri Utami and team entitled Analysis of the causes of low birth weight infants in terms of nutritional status and maternal health history showed that Individual and family factors remand an essential variable in low-birth-weight prevalence. Nurses are responsible for providing socialization to mothers and fathers who are having and planning to have children. Cultural factors in the family and community where the mother lives also need to be carried out in further research.

Research conducted by Abu Bakar and team entitled Effect of caring behaviour approach to improve
nurses’ caring character in medical-surgical
wards showed that Caring behaviour approach is not only about Caring Theory, it has a significant effect on the caring character of nurses. Caring character of nurses in each hospital can be improved by implementing training and accompaniment of caring behaviour approach considering factors that influence the formation of caring character in order to get maximum results.
