Words can only take you so far. However, by being present for your child, you may warm their hearts with acceptance and love.
We can't be the perfect parents. But we can be present for the children.

Blow Paint π¨
Painting doesn't always happen with paint and paintbrush. There are many ways one could possibly make an artwork with colors.
The K1 kids tried blowing drops of paint on their paper with straws, creating unique hairstyles on their self-portrait.
They can't help but shout out the colors that came out when the 2 primary colors mixed:
β€οΈ+π=π§‘
β€οΈ+π=π
π+π=π
What an exciting way to paint and discover colors!

Unstructured Play
Every child enjoys playing games with their friends and what makes it even more fun is when they make their own games.
Unstructured play helps in the development of creativity and imagination. It also helps build a childβs problem-solving abilities and social skills.
In the picture, you can see the children having fun under the sun playing their own self-made game and strategic rules. This game went on for days which only proved how fun it was!

Around The World π UN Celebration πΊπ³
The children excitedly entered the room wearing their UN Day special clothes. This day was a day full of learning about other countries. Our school Chinese teacher, Sheny Laoshi, visited the IT class and taught the children some basic Chinese words, music and dance.
Ms. Rahma told a story about Paman Bob and Sofia through a puppet show in Bahasa language. Ms. Natasha also came to class and told a story about a magical paper. She taught the children a simple Arabian Dance.
To end the day, the children had a great time preparing and eating their Filipino-inspired fruit salad shared by Ms. Mimay.

Pajama Day All The Way!ππ
To end our theme Ray of Lights, we had our Pajama Day in IT class. The children came to school wearing their favorite and comfiest pair of pajamas and brought some of their bedtime besties.
The children listened to a story entitled, "I Love You Mommy" that was read by Aunty Dessy, Eleesha's mom. They also explored and played with lights and shadows in a dark room.

Learning about the different countries and their cultures is an integral part of a childβs growing years. It teaches them more than just about arts and crafts, but more so on respecting and celebrating differences among all people.
Today, the teachers and parent volunteers collaborated once again in introducing our dear children to different customs and traditions of other nations as we celebrated the UN Day.
Our sincerest gratitude to all our dear parents for working hand-in-hand with the school in enriching the lives of our children.

It's a wrap! π₯³
We ended our Children's Week today with a bang! We had our UN Day celebration to cap off our weeklong activity.
πππ
As a preparation for the celebration, each class learned about the country that they are representing and have prepared special performances for their families and friends. The kids danced to a song that represents their selected country.
Some classes even made their own costume which made the process of learning even more fun and memorable!
Can you guess which country each class represented? π
