A Story Behind the Red and White🇮🇩
Long before we could celebrate Independence Day freely, Indonesia was fighting for its freedom. Figures like Soekarno dreamed of an independent nation where every Indonesian could stand with pride.
On August 17, 1945, Soekarno proclaimed Indonesia’s independence together with Mohammad Hatta. That moment became the beginning of a new chapter for our country.
Today, as we stand together under the Red and White flag, surrounded by the fields and the simple life of our people, we are reminded that independence was not given—it was achieved through struggle, unity, and sacrifice.
The Red and White flag is more than just a symbol. It reminds us of the people who fought for this country and inspires us to continue their spirit through unity, hard work, and gotong royong.
Because the freedom we enjoy today is a story written by the struggles of yesterday. 🇮🇩❤️🤍
