A breezy Friday afternoon saw 24 bright futures escorted across our campus as the Grade 12 Class of 2026 graduated. Each step carried memories of hard work, friendships forged, small heartbreaks, proud achievements and the mischief that made it all unforgettable.
Chase the things you’re proud to talk about, bring the kindness this world needs, and know we will always wish the very best for you from the heart. Happy Graduation Day, Class of 2026 — Bali Island School is immensely proud of you.

I joined Bali Island School in the second term of Year 10, and from day one the EOTC moments have been my favourite — field trips, hands‑on projects and learning beyond the classroom truly shaped how I see the world.
After graduation I plan to study mechanical or aerospace engineering in France, drawn to rigorous problem‑solving and international perspective. I’m excited to immerse myself in a new culture while building technical skills.
Ultimately I plan to work in the space or automotive industry, designing things that move us forward — and to use that platform to expand access to quality education for others.

I will never forget taking part in IISSAC sports — especially football, basketball and badminton. In my senior year, winning the banner and trophy for both basketball and football was a highlight I’ll always cherish. Another unforgettable moment was the Duke of Edinburgh journey: mountain biking, hiking and spending a night in nature with teachers and friends, phone‑free — simple but incredibly special.
After graduation I plan to move to Australia to continue my studies. I want to combine my passions for sport and business by studying sport management, though I’m also considering aviation school because aviation fascinates me too.
If I could make one meaningful change in the world, it would be to reduce poverty and ensure everyone has access to basic needs — shelter, food and clean water. That aligns with UN SDG 1: No Poverty. Tackling poverty would help resolve many other social and economic issues and give people a fairer chance at a stable life.
BIS was all about Friendship, Sports, Community.

The most memorable part of BIS for me has been the whole‑school activities — carnivals, sports days and performances. Those events brought students and teachers together beyond academics and built a genuine sense of community. They gave us time to hang out with friends and get to know people more deeply, not just as classmates but as a supportive school family. Those shared moments filled BIS with joy and school spirit.
After graduation I plan to continue my studies in communication, business or film, while meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I hope to travel, explore natural environments and appreciate wildlife along the way. In the long term I aim to work in event management, bringing creative ideas to life through large‑scale events and using them to raise awareness for important causes, including eradicating poverty.
Studying at BIS through the IB helped me approach the final two years of the IBDP with greater confidence. The MYP encouraged critical thinking, creativity and problem‑solving, building real‑world skills that made the transition into the DP much smoother.
If I had to pick three words to describe BIS: Connection, Creativity, Discovery.

Studying at an IB continuum school really prepared me for the IBDP. PYP and MYP taught me inquiry, reflection, independent thinking and time management, which made the Diploma programme more manageable despite its challenges.
My favourite memories are IISSAC sports trips — football, basketball and swimming — and EOTC adventures like salt farming and coral restoration that let me learn beyond the classroom and connect more deeply with Bali. After graduation I’ll be heading to UBC Sauder to study economics.
I aim to improve access to quality education for every child, regardless of background or birthplace. Better education can reduce poverty and unlock opportunities, aligning with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 1 (No Poverty).

There are countless memories from IISSAC trips, and after four years playing with almost the same team, finally winning in our senior year made it all the more special — those days will stay in my heart.
Studying at an IB continuum school and completing the PYP and MYP gave me a strong foundation in time management, critical thinking and independent work — skills that proved crucial for the Diploma programme.
After graduation I plan to take a gap year before pursuing paediatric medicine in Vienna. This path aligns with my goal to help others and provide healthcare for those who cannot afford it. My purpose is to ensure everyone has access to the basic conditions needed to live safely, which connects to the UN SDGs: Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well‑Being, and Clean Water and Sanitation.
If I could describe BIS in three words, it would be: Multicultural, Vibrant, Well-rounded.

One of my most treasured experiences at BIS was taking part in IISSAC tournaments. Those competitions helped me grow both individually and as a team player, teaching me to recognise my strengths and areas for improvement. More than the matches, it was the bonding with teammates and friends that made it truly unforgettable.
I was also introduced to running at BIS, and it has become a part of my life inside and outside school — helping me discover my passion and perseverance.
Being in an IB continuum school taught me essential ATL skills early on, helping me approach challenges, manage my workload and adapt to the demands of the IBDP.
After BIS, I plan to study applied mathematics with liberal studies at New York University. I’m excited to explore maths in a setting that values open‑minded thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and innovation.
If I could make one meaningful change in the world, it would be to ensure equal access to quality education for everyone. Education can reduce inequality and unlock opportunities, linking to UNSDG Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities.
As I embark on my new path, I will always remember BIS as a place of growth, community, and opportunity.

BIS will always be a close‑knit place in my heart — where you know everyone and there’s always a familiar, friendly face. Studying at an IB continuum school prepared me to think like a global learner and a critical thinker — the core of being an IBDP student.
After graduation I plan to study at university in the US, then attend a top law school. I aim to work in legal clinics defending those who cannot help themselves and to challenge corporate practices that exploit wealth to circumvent environmental protections. My purpose is to fight oppression and use the law to protect people and the planet.
If my experience at BIS were a book, it would be titled: "Building Awareness; Building Knowledge; Building a Home."
