Last week our founder Leon took the stage at the Singapore MICE Forum 2026 in Singapore. 🎤

He joined a panel on one of our favourite questions — "Purpose-Driven Meaningful Businesses: Do they Really Exist?"
Spoiler: yes they do. And we'd like to think we're proof of that. 🪸

From a small dive shop in Padangbai to restoring over 9,000 square meters of reef, building a local team, welcoming interns from around the world and proving that tourism can actively fix the ocean — purpose has been the engine behind everything we do.

It was an honour to share that story on an international stage alongside some absolute incredible leaders! 💙

Now… a little fun fact you probably didn’t know: Pufferfish teeth grow continuously throughout their lives, and they need to eat hard, crunchy foods to wear them down.
The "endless snacking" is actually a medical requirement 😂

One of the things we love most since we started this journey is discovering and hosting game-changing organizations like Wildlands Studies.

To give you a quick intro: Wildlands Studies isn’t a typical study-abroad program. They take students out of traditional lecture halls and send them right into the field to conduct real-world environmental research—allowing them to earn full university credit while directly contributing to global conservation efforts. 🎓🎒

Here are a few behind-the-scenes moments from the first part of our workshop: learning about coral reefs before heading out to the ocean to witness firsthand the 18 reef structures they sponsored (324 corals in total!)

Same fish. Completely different juvenile!l🤯 🐠

We spend so much time underwater and these transformations still get us every single time. Juvenile fish and their adult versions can look so different you'd swear they were two separate species.

And here's the thing — without healthy coral reefs, we wouldn't get to witness any of this. These fish depend on the reef to grow, hide, feed and transform. No coral, no show.

Every person who walks through our doors leaves a little different. ❤️‍🔥

Our local team — trained from the ground up, many of whom had never dived before joining us. Interns arriving from all over the world, bringing curiosity and leaving with skills, purpose and corals in the water. Tourists who came to Bali for a holiday and spent one afternoon doing something that will outlive their trip by decades.

That's the model. And it works.

The reef is growing. But so is the community of people who care enough to protect it.

To put it into perspective — that's roughly the size of a football pitch and a half! Underwater!! 🥹🪸🩵

When we started in 2019, this was bare sand with hardly any corals. Now it's home to over 140 coral species and more marine life than we can count, making Padangbai one of the new best kept secret dive spots in Bali! 🤫

So proud of our team and above all so grateful for each one of you who came since 2019 and who supported us by adopting corals and sponsoring structures. When people come together, the world gets a little better.
