Welcoming our new team member for 2026-2027 school year!

Ms. Kendal Pyke joins MIS with more than 10 years of international school experience in Japan and Russia. She holds a Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of West Alabama and has completed extensive IB MYP and DP professional development, as well as Universal Design for Learning through Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her experience in international education enables her to effectively guide students in their academic and university pathways.

Mrs. Nilda Banks is an experienced international educator who has taught in Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and China before joining MIS. She holds a Master's Degree in Leadership and Management in Education from Oxford Brookes University, a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualification, and a Bachelor of Education in English Language Teaching. With over 15 years of teaching experience and ongoing IB professional development, she is passionate about nurturing confident, curious, and lifelong learners.

Welcoming our new team member for 2026-2027 school year!

Mr. Daniel Banks brings over 20 years of international teaching experience from schools in South Korea, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and China before joining MIS. He holds a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Reading and is currently completing a Master's Degree in Leadership and Management in Education at the University of Bath, UK. An experienced IB educator, he is committed to inquiry-based learning and continuously enhances his practice through international professional development.

Congratulations to Sienna for earning a 42/45 in her IBDP studies. She earned 7/7 in all of her higher level courses. This is something achieved by 1.5% of all IB students. She also served as the Treasurer for Student Government and joined the Model United Nations team. She was able to accomplish this through hard work and knowing when to ask her teachers questions.

Some of the best school memories are made outside the classroom. 🏐💙 Looking back at our Teachers vs. Students Volleyball Match, we're reminded that a little friendly competition, plenty of laughter, and the strong bond between teachers and students are what make our community so special.
