Singosari National Artificial Insemination Centre (BBIB Singosari) is a technical Unit (UPT) of Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health Services. With experience of more than twenty-eight years BBIB Singosari has been producing frozen semen from nine breeds of bull (Limousine, Simental, Aberdeen Angus, Brangus, Brahman, Ongole, Madura, Bali and Friesien Holstein) and two b
reeds of buck (Ettawa Cross Breed and Boer). BBIB Singosari has the motto " One Drop Semen A Million of Hope "which has been patent at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights no IDM000138723. With this motto BBIB Singosari produce high quality frozen semen in accordance with ISO 01-4869,1-2005, using quality materials and machinery diluent - a modern machine. As a guarantee of frozen semen quality, the Laboratory of Semen Assessment of BBIB Singosari has been successfully accredited for the second time on 19 February 2010. This Laboratory has the strong commitment adopt and apply a Quality System according to ISO / IEC 17025-2005. BBIB Singosari has a strong commitment to improve the livestock program in Indonesia. Therefore BBIB Singosari carried out the Progeny Testing Program in cooperation with the Government of Japan through Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the project of Strengthening of Singosari AI Centre (ATA - 233) to bear the Indonesia's Elite FH which have a high quality genetic as well as good adaptation ability to tropical condition. Along with modernization, the demands of farmers increasingly diverse. Farmers do not just want high-quality cattle but also the certainty of the s*x of cattle that will be generated. To meet the farmer requirement, since 2004 BBIB Singosari make a breakthrough / technological innovations in the field of artificial insemination through the production of Sexed Frozen Semen
